From this remnant may its numbers multiply to fill Alaskan villages

 with ambassadors for the Works of service: unto our Lord God;

thus many may claim salvation through Christ.

We pray.

"In that day the remnant of Israel, the survivors of the house of Jacob, will no longer rely on him who struck them down but will truly rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.

A remnant will return, a remnant of Jacob will return to the Mighty God."

Isiah 10:20-2 NKJV

Transformation among a people from lives in despair to godly living

can only happen when the men commit to leaving behind earthly desires

 and replace them with desiring the things of God;

and provide leadership in spiritual matters.

Roger Huntington, Director Operations

"Loving God, loving people"

Roger, Koyukon Athabaskan Indian, with his bride Carole are missionaries with the Galena Bible Church; where he also is a servant. Major transformation came upon his life after surviving a fiery airplane crash in 1988.  His heart is to see other Natives have godly relationships and to tell how every one could have them; if they could only become "doers of the Word not just hearers".  His joy is ministering together with Carole as they travel with their little airplane (called "Wings for Jesus") to the different villages. Their relationship is the example as they encourage and  teach the Word; and give other couples applicable counsel from the Bible. They also serve at Kokrine Hills Bible Camp.

“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

 John 10:10

Valued Teaching Partners: Alan & Joy Olender

  Testimony of Alan Olender, Foothill Christian Fellowship (FCF)

     I am excited about the partnership that our Lord Jesus Christ has led us into with Native Alaskan Ministries.  Myself and other pastor/elders from FCF are part of this expanding joint venture and have been during the past several years.

     As I look back on the events that God used to lead us together with Roger and Carol Huntington, George Marvin, Wassilie Mute and other Alaskan natives, I am reminded of the apostle Pauls perspective on his partnership with Timothy and Epaphroditus (Philippians 2:19ff).  Pauls words were: "For I have no one else of kindred spirit who will genuinely be concerned for your welfare. 21 For they all seek after their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus. 22 But you know of his proven worth that he served with me in the furtherance of the gospel like a child serving his father." NASB

     We at FCF feel that same "kindred spirit" in pursuit of the goal of making disciples of all nations with these native men, as well as other Christians in Galena who are part of the Galena Bible Church where Roger is a leader.  We have come to share a sense of the "proven worth" of each other, natives in Alaska, whites from the lower 48, but superceding these distinctions, we are one in Christ, brothers in the truest and deepest sense.  We are part of the new culture of the church of Christ Jesus.

    We believe confidently that God brought us together so that with our combined gifts, experience and connections we might not seek our own interests, but those of Christ Jesus, more effectively together.  Our shared vision is to see disciples (literally, "learners" or committed followers) made among the native peoples in "Bush Alaska."

We together expect our Lord to do "exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us" (Ephesians 3:20)

Please pray for the team.
