1. Prayer Warriors here:
Disciples are prayer warriors. Prayer warriors are welcomed to sign on by emailing us with this desire to pray for people. If you are burdened for praying for others we' ed be happy to offer you the name of a person, village church and a contact that you could connect with; also to keep on your daily prayer list.
Our prayer is that many village fellowships will have powerful prayer support and that the Holy Spirit of God will cause individuals and their church fellowships to mature in this burden of prayer. We believe that only by prayer that God will use His people to draw others in village Alaska unto Himself and to receive Christ's wonderful gift of salvation.
We will keep your address on a prayer warriors in house list and email you back praise needs. Please pray for us that we may serve in a manor that this prayer effort will be effective. If I do not respond as you would like please pray for me and email me personally.
2. Couples Discipleship Conferences:
The first Couples Descipleship Conference was held at the Bible Camp in August. It was a week of personal equipping of ministering couples who are in the front lines of God's work in the village. Another gathering is scheduled for August 2005.
2005 Conferences:
Please pray for the Couples Discipleship Conference to be held at the KAKO Retreat Center the week of April 25 through the 30th, 2005. We value you as an integral prayer partner for this vital ministry of "equipping the saints for the works of service" (Eph-4).
Native Alaskan Ministries again in partnership with Foothill Christian Fellowship will deliver the teaching and serving any needs of couples who desire to attend. This conference is for the purpose of edifying (encouragement), equipping and uniting those Native couples who are already involved in Gods work.
Though our focus, 'equipping' for effective 'disciple-making', remains primary the teaching will again incorporate practical 'biblical counseling principals'. We remain confident that the wisdom of God's Word when applied (in accordance with His teaching) true and lasting resolve to any human difficulty whether it be psychic, medical, meeting physical needs or the healing of the soul are assured. We believe that, though modern medicines (depending upon the ailment) can be helpful, our culture has grown too dependent upon a pill to accomplish what God alone has the power and wisdom to fix. We believe that complete and lasting recovery is available to all who are afflicted when the all encompassing powers of God are harnessed. Equipping ministering couples is essential to advancing the true principles of making disciples, which is a Christian's true mission. Pray that God will prepare this time at KAKO so that glory will befall His wonderful name by the work there.
Native couples are invited. We desire your continued partnership with us by praying for the gathering and ask your prayerful consideration of you coming with your bride. Though we cannot afford to cover all costs, associated with bringing all the couples coming, we again, as our Lord is faithful, do not want personal financial concerns be the only hindrance for not being able to attend.
